Happenings for the week....

Macie had her nine month check up on Thursday. She weighed just a little under 18 pounds and measured 28 inches long - so still long and skinny:) She may have to go see a dentist because of some spots (or as Dr Mas would say "imperfections") on her top side teeth. Dr. Mas seems to think it was something she was born with, and won't matter once her adult teeth come in. But we're going to the dentist just to make sure and see if there's something they can do. I'm wondering, will they put tiny white strips on her teeth:)
She now has this crawling thing down! (which makes me rethink putting up our Christmas tree) And she LOVES the trampoline! My arms are getting a serious work out from holding her so much so she can jump.
Warren has done great with potty training this week! I haven't attempted anything out in public yet, but he's really doing well at home. And I haven't even had to bribe him with anything, he's just wanted to do it.
He had his Christmas party at school on Thursday. They sang songs and ate food - fun times! He doesn't go back until January 4th, which I'm not sure if it will be harder for him or me. He absolutely loves school now. The past few times I've gone to pick him up, he's actually run away from me! He doesn't want to leave. Which I'm glad that he loves school but it's a little embarrassing to have your child run the opposite direction when they see you:)

Christmas Tree Fun

Warren wasn't happy until Tia Trish was sitting under the tree with him:)

Now that Macie is crawling, she crawled right over to the tree and pulled out a present.

Macie and her cousin Gavin enjoying the pretty lights!

Looking Good!

So patience is not something I claim to have alot of and this project of John's tried what little I do have:) John bought this tractor shortly before Macie was born and told me he'd have it done in about a month. Macie is now nine months old and he is finally finished! But I have to say it looks great! I wish I had taken before photos because this tractor looked rough. It ran great but just needed some TLC. John spent quite a bit of time on fixing it up and I think he did an amazing job! Now off to the classifieds it goes:)

The newest member of our family....

I think John must have slipped something in my drink, because I somehow agreed to this purchase?!?!? We are now the proud owners of a brand new Massey Ferguson tractor. John's dreams have come true:) And he didn't waste anytime breaking it in - the same day it was bought, it was taken out to Mississippi to do work for NaturChem. It has been out there for the past week and a half and will be coming home for the holidays:)

Recent happenings....

Macie crawled for the first time yesterday!! She didn't go very far, it didn't look pretty, she wasn't happy about it, but she did it:) She's been trying for the past few days and hasn't figured out how to get everything working together. Mostly she's been trying to hop. But she figured it out for the most part last night.
Also, for the past few weeks she has been pulling herself up and saying "ma ma". After she pulled herself up on the couch, I promptly went and dropped the mattress in her crib:)
Other news, Warren poohed in the potty for the first time today!! It took about 45 minutes of convincing but he finally did it! I could tell he needed to go so I refused to put a diaper on him. Of course, he was not happy about this at all. He kept bringing me a diaper and telling me to put it on him - to which I would tell him to go sit on the potty. Finally I told him that if he poohed on the potty, he could get a new tractor. He said "blue tractor", then went and did it! Unfortunately, no store in High Springs carries a blue tractor, so he settled on a red four wheeler instead (but kept asking me about the blue tractor - darn his good memory:)

I'm not sure what Macie is more proud of  - her standing up skills or pink John Deere boots:)
And lastly, just one of those stories I'll look back on and laugh about - the gas company came to the house today, which usually is no big deal. I was hanging around in my sweatpants and old shirt when they pulled up. For whatever reason, Rex decided it would be a good idea to try and bite the truck?!?! So I went running outside carry Macie, trying to pull Rex off the truck - so a baby on my hip and a bulldog by the collar! I'm sure the driver was thoroughly entertained:) Apparently, this cold weather has Rex feeling ten foot tall and bullet proof!

It's Santa!!!

We went to see Santa at the mall today and Warren and Macie did great! Trish sat down with Warren last night to talk about Santa - explaining about the toys, reindeer, sleigh etc. He didn't really seem interested at first. But then she found a video on the internet of Santa driving a tractor - then of course he was all about Santa:)
When we got there today, I unbuckled Warren from the stroller, then went to unbuckle Macie. Before I even finished getting Macie out, I turned around and Warren was already sitting on Santa's lap!
We weren't able to get a picture of them both looking at the camera but I think this one is great. Macie is wondering "why does Santa look like Pawpaw?":)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Warren enjoying his Thanksgiving feast at school.

Picnic

Enjoying some yummy cheese boo boos (as Warren would say)!!

I heard these two laughing the other day. I walked into find this and Warren telling me "I sit in Mae mae's lap"!
What to wear, what to wear?!?!?
I think as Warren gets older, his tractor obsession becomes worse. He put two of his tractors in his bed the other day, which isn't too weird. But I was watching him on the monitor later, and he actually tucked one of the tractors into the blanket and told it "night night":)
