We had a great time down in Daytona last week for John's conference (minus the car ride down:) I was a little nervous about going, but it actually ending up being easier down there than at home! Trish came along as our travel nanny and everyone at the hotel was extremely nice and helpful. The best part about the trip was the ocean. Macie unfortunately has been defined as a colic baby, so our evenings have not been so pleasant lately. At home we usually end up running the vacuum or blow dryer, going for long golf cart rides, taking a bath, etc. But the sound of the ocean put all those things to sham! I'm tempted to move to the beach for the next few months:)

Besides the evenings, Macie is doing great! She's eating and sleeping well. We go back to the doctor on May 12th for her 2 month checkup and first set of shots. I had a doctor's appointment today and took her with me, then stopped by the mall afterwards. I had a little flower clip in her hair, and several moms commented on they wish their little ones had as much hair as her. She even has a sweet mullet in the back:)

Warren is adjusting very well to Macie. He always tries to give her toys or share his food with her. Usually when I go in his room in the morning, the first thing he's says is "may-may". He starts preschool in September and I'm super excited. His vocabulary still isn't all that great, so I'm hoping that will help it take off. Plus it will be great for him to socialize with other little ones for a few days a week.

One Month Photos

I can't believe Macie is already a month old! At her appointment last week, she weighed 9 lbs 5 oz, and was 22 inches long. So she's growing like a weed:) Thanks to Wrenda for the great photos!!

First Visit to the Zoo

We went to the Santa Fe Community College Teaching Zoo with our playgroup today. I was able to carry Macie in a sling and have Warren either walk or ride in his stroller (or his friends' wagon for little while too). We got to see lots of different animals and have fun hanging out with our friends!!
